Aphrodite: Symphonic Idol Group — we need your opinion about them —
Today I had the wonderful pleasure of having a short, but meaningful conversation with the staff of a re-born idol group.
I had known about the group in the past at the time the group had nine members and was a ballet Idol rock group. Almost as quickly as they arrived they seemed to disappear. Those things happen in this genre for different reasons things happen.
Well the staff reintroduced themselves to me to let me know they had been re-born as a new unit, with a new look, sound and songs.
The staff after exchanging greetings, they mentioned to me about their new songs and invited me to listen to them and express to them my opinions about the songs.
The group aim is to be a different sound and style from the idol groups you see all the time. The group has a number of influences ranging from Gothic metal, symphonic metal, alternative rock and Idol Pop.
What makes this group interesting is how they approach using their influences. They have created a sound that is symphonic inspired and very delicate. It`s a lot different from what you are used to hearing from idol groups.
There is just something about the songs that as a musician and songwriter that draws me to them and I find them very pleasurable to listen to.
If you are looking for something fresh, that is not true Idol metal and not true traditional Idol JPop, I strongly suggest giving Mai and Chiharu a try.
