Oricon Style published the first week of sales information of the recent live video released by BABYMETAL, "Live At Wembley Arena" Bluray sold more than 30.000 copies, the DVD around 14.000 copies but there is more information released by Oricon, read more below!
BABYMETAL "Live At Wembley" Bluray/DVD sold around 51.000 copies in the first week!
BABYMETAL's recent live Bluray "Live At Wembley, BABYMETAL World Tour 2016 kicks off at the SSE Arena, Wembley" released on November 23 sold 36.000 copies in the first week of sales in Japan. The DVD is ranked first, the Bluray is ranked second in the overall and first in the Music category. In addition got the first place in overall in the Music videos ranking with the sum of all sales DVD + Bluray, around 51.000 copies sold.
The highest DVDs ranked are in 3rd place "Live In London, World Tour 2014" (released in May 2015) and DVD "Live At Budokan, Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse" (released in January of the same year). So, this is the first time BABYMETAL reach the first place.
Bluray's 36.000 copies sold exceeds the "Live At Budokan, Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse" Bluray (released in January 2015) which was their highest-ranked Bluray in sales at the moment.
This work is a recording at the prestigious British SSE Arena, Wembley in April, the first one-man live show for a Japanese artist in history.
