BOH’s blog update about BABYMETAL’s Europan Tour (ENGLISH TRANSLATION)

BOH has safely return home after BABYMETAL’s Europe Tour and finally updated his blog. Please enjoy our English translation here:

Blog entry: June 15, 2016

I have returned to Japan from the European Tour. о (ж>▽<)y ☆

I have received a lot of valuable experience, I am filled with happiness!

I am grateful that I am blessed with the opportunity to go to various countries.

it’s obvious that every country has a different language and customs and although I always have in me the pride of being Japanese, no matter which country I go, I try accepting and be ready to absorb everything, and to act with an open mind.

In particular, in Japan it is a common greeting to bow and show respect, but for me, I am carrying out such courtesy with the highest importance even in foreign countries.

I can clearly remember what the adults around me have said to me when I was small, “Be a man who can properly lower your head to other people.” (*TL’s note: it means to become a humble person)

Even if it has been said as lowering your head, you can really feel the delicacy in a graceful heart-felt bow as an open and fair attitude, although the implication may vary depending on the situation. I think it’s a very wonderful thing.

Rather than constantly lowering your head, there is an elegance in showing a one deep bow.

I’m in an extreme jet lag, I even bow deeply to the PC in front of me while typing these texts ← jk, i’m just sleepy LOL

And so, this is the part where I should say something about the Tour… , but there is something personal in my mind, I will not put BABYMETAL related stuff in the blog for a while.

I am aware that a lot of things happen, but I hope that many of you who always look forward to this can understand the situation.

I will write up on other things up to this point in some other time or when I feel like it in a relaxed manner. (´∀`)

There are a lot of things to be done immediately after returning home, I also haven’t decided when to do Nico douga Live stream, if you have a lot of time to kill, please check my Twitter as I will post anything from random silly things to important announcement time after time. (*^ー^)ノ

Regardless of anything, there sure are a lot of beautiful ladies in Europe. ヽ(゜▽、゜)ノ

Aah, I look forward to the day I can go there again.

Watching a beautiful woman makes me feel better, as I bid farewell to my hair follicles everyday.
That is all from BOH the bassist.(B・o・H)

Entry: May 17, 2016
BABYMETAL’s East coast US Tour has finished!!

Hello! This is the bassist who has too much baldness, BOH

After about 2 weeks of touring with all my power, now I am updating this blog with my temporary disguised form!

This time, the show began in New York, then Boston, Philadelphia, Concord, Silver Spring, Detroit, Chicago and Somerset, the Metal Resistance had been successfuly carried out in 6 solo live shows and 2 festivals!

The 2016 World Tour kick-off was quite a challenge, but I am glad we were able to successfully accomplish it without any significant problems.

I was able to receive a lot of great motivation, no matter where the venue was, and also to receive strength from the audience, so now I am able to return home feeling happy.

Especially at the House of Blues, Chicago, while I was performing I felt strongly that BABYMETAL has powered-up multiple times since the first show in this place last tour.

I also saw many dear fans came not only from US or Japan, but from countries all over the world. Every day, I felt nothing but gratitude from the bottom of my heart for the fact that I am able to perform in BABYMETAL who is loved by so many people.

With every opportunity, the bond within the staffs, the Kami-band, the girls and also as a team is getting stronger, and I think we were able to deliver such power to the audience.

I can spend some time in Japan for a while, because the next Europe Tour is in June. We, the Kami-band will put even more spirits into it so that the God of Metal descend to keep up with the ever-evolving three girls \(*`∧´)/

Seiya! Soiya! Keep on fighting! I will keep pressing forward with Japanese pride, the spirit of Samurai, to create the best show!

My endless thanks to you for your support(B・o・H)

BOH’s Blog Update About Wembley (ENGLISH TRANSLATION)

BOH updated his blog, and gave his impression about the BABYMETAL 2016 World Tour kickstart at Wembley show. Read our Englsih translation below:

Title: My thoughts on BABYMETAL Wembley Arena Show
Entry: April 04, 2016 (Mon)

For the time being , there is part of me who want to say that I am relieved, but the 2016 Overseas Tour had just begun!

This is the guy who no matter how many hair he loses, doesn’t lose his spirit. Hello, BOH the bassist here ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ

The Wembley Arena show on April 4 was a great success, SU-METAL-san, YUIMETAL-san, MOAMETAL-san…
were really cool!!

They have become such great artists, and for me to write about the 3 girls’ growth on my personal blog feels rude (‘-‘*)(,_,*)(‘-‘*)(,_,*)

BABYMETAL has created the history as the first Japanese artist who perform solo-live show at Wembley Arena, U.K., the holy land of Rock.
We, the Kami-band are proud to become the part of it.

I personally think that, had I not became a member of Kami-band, I would have never had the chance to stand on such a great place.
I am also proud to be able to perform together with the other Kami-band members with their Japan’s top-class skills and abilities.

I am really glad that I took music and the 6-string bass seriously.
I am really grateful from the bottom of my heart to those people I have met and to all the experiences I had until today.
Even in my private life other that music, it is the surrounding environment that made me the human that I am.

The joy, hardship, happiness and sadness…
All of those experiences has made me the man I am today.
My heart filled with gratitude toward such things the moment I stood on the Wembley Arena stage.
And, I want to deliver the best show to the audience by supporting BABYMETAL thoroughly!
I want the 3 girls to feel reassured and give their best performance to the audience because I support them from behind by performing with everything I have.

I performed while keeping such thoughts strongly in my mind.

BABYMETAL and all the fans who has fulfilled my small envisioned dreams and dreams beyond goals.

This is the same for other location, I became what I am today because there are fans who came and support us. Otherwise, I would have no idea what would my life become (*´Д`)=з

It’s been about 19 years since I made a mistake of starting to play bass at 15 saying “I will become a pro”…
But thanks to those who supported me, it did not ended with just a mistake.
I would still have a long relationship with this buddy here.

I’m going to play it until it’s worn to tatters ヽ(゜▽、゜)ノ Gwe he he he

Without indulging my self in conceit, I will keep pressing forward with the spirit of Bushido, so thank you in advance for your continuous support.

BOH’s Blog Update About Yokohama Shows (ENGLISH TRANSLATION)

BOH’s newest blog update is about BABYMETAL’s recent shows at Yokohama Arena, Tokyo. Please enjoy our English translation below.

Title: BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2015 in JAPAN is over.

Hello! This is the bassist whom his hair follicles are about to end, BOH. ヽ(゜▽、゜)ノ

The 2015 BABYMETAL Tour has come to an end with the Yokohama Arena 2-day performances, on December 12th and 13th. The team’s unity has become more and more solid in the tour. Thanks to the opportunity with BABYMETAL, I can perform with a great feeling now. SU-METAL-san has evolved her vocal abilities majestically as if she was pulling up the whole band herself. YUIMETAL-san and MOAMETAL-san’s dance timing, sharpness, and the way they pumped up the excitement with their chorus, works wonders during songs… everything was conveyed really well. I learned a lot and received many stimulus from BABYMETAL, so it was a very meaningful tour for me.

It was BABYMETAL’s first national tour, but it doesn’t matter whether it’s an overseas tour or a national tour, the difference is only the locations, the feelings I had put into it for the sake of the SHOW, are all the same! I can only do my best so that the audience enjoy the show and to make them deeply moved.
For us, as the one who perform, I feel really happy to be able to support artists who do their best standing on the stage with all of their soul pour into it. (*゜▽゜ノノ゛☆
And seeing all the fans cheering for the three girls and get all excited wherever the stage is, got me fired up even more. o(゜∇゜*o)(o*゜∇゜)o~♪
And at the Yokohama concerts, I was able to truly experience wonderful shows where the performers and the audience united.

We, the Kami Band, will continue giving our devotion so that BABYMETAL can leap forward even further!

Well then, it’s advertising time [for Kami Band] ヾ( ´ー`)← Hey, don’t you dare stop reading now!

The provisional band that was formed by the three members, Mikio Fujioka on guitar, BOH on bass, and Yuya Maeta on drums, called “仮BAND (KARI BAND)” ← I don’t even understand the meaning of this. (LOL) (*Translator’s note: “仮 (Kari)” means “provisional”)
We topped 1.000 subscribers on our YouTube channel! Thank you very much! (σ・∀・)σ
Although it is a geeky session band, we will run our activities scantily when we have time on our hands. Thank you for the provisional supports.
Click here for KARI BAND’s channel!!
We also have 2 new videos.
It’s a classic session song, “Led boots” by the guitarist, Mr. Jeff Beck

“Go” by the pianist, Mr. Greg Mathieson

As I said in my previous blog entry, we didn’t think it would be uploaded in such conditions. The sound is rough as it was recorded with only 2 mics and cameras, but I think you can also feel the atmosphere there, so please enjoy!

We have also organized KARI BAND’s 2nd Live Session for next year, so if you have time, please come join us. (*^ー^)ノ
That’s all for the advertisement ヽ(゜▽、゜)ノ← Stooop it!
And for this episode’s [blog update] poem….

Here it goes!! ━━━(゚∀゚)━━━!!!← This guy is unbelieveable LOLOLOL

Wait, today I will use the proverb that represents manliness and cleanliness. (`・ω・´)ゞ← Either way, we don’t need it… Well then, today’s proverb is this:

“You may hide the nose hair, but you can’t hide the baldness”

Thank you very much!(B・o・H)…… What a nonsense LOLOL
