BABYMETAL is a three-member mental dance unit who will be performing at Japan’s largest metal festival “LOUD PARK 13” and is begin regarded as the next big thing in the idol scene. They will debut their first self-titled program on Nippon Broadcasting System’s “All Night Nippon.”
BABYMETAL, who formed in 2010, gained a lot of attention both within Japan and overseas. Tickets for their concerts successively sold out, making them a unit with rapidly growing popularity. BABYMETAL did a total of seven performances at rock festivals this summer, including “JOIN ALIVE 2013,” “ROCK IN JAPAN FES.13,” and “SUMMER SONIC 2013,” the most of any idol group.
This program on Nippon Broadcasting System by BABYMETAL, who have been often regarded as “the next big thing,” is also greatly unprecedented. Since the members are under eighteen, the program will be previously recorded. Since the members do not MC at concerts, this will be the first opportunity fans have to hear a large amount of talk from the members.
All Night Nippon is a Japanese radio program broadcast by Nippon Broadcasting System and other radio stations from 1–5 am (JST). It preempts broadcasts from TBS Radio’s programming heard on stations under both JRN and NRN (TBC Radio, CBC Radio, etc.).
