Breakdowns appear often in hard core or Metal core music. This refers to a Mosshu part that begins when the tempo of the song suddenly and abruptly drops. The Babymetal song, “iine!” features a song development that breaks in with the “Kitsune Break Down” coming in after the Hip Hop rap part appears, and in live performances this is a moment when Babymetal and the fans become one with everyone putting both hands up in the Kitsune Sign. In the song, “Megitsune” there is a Japanese style o Breakdown based on the motif of “Sakura Sakura”. It is most likely that in the realm of Idol songs it is Babymetal that has first incorporated Breakdowns in a full fledged manner.

 Hedoban no Kami
The God of Hedoban

In the music video, “Hedobangya-!!” it is this god that performs the intensely energetic “Fan Hedoban” (Fan means the wind producing machine). In order to protect his neck from the damage that may occur from this hard Hedoban, he wears the “Legendary neck brace”. In the MV for “Hedobangya-!!” there is a scene where the “Legendary neck brace” that the Hedoban kami wears crosses over Space/Time and is delivered to the hands of Su-metal.

With the special version of the first single version of “Hedobangya-!!” which was released under an Indies label on July 4th, 2012, a first edition limited production (Hedo Ban-) neck brace was included with the release. At the “Legend~Neck Brace Festival” performed on July 21st, 2012 at Meguro’s Rokumeikan, as a special privilege the fans who purchased this CD were able to wear this “Headbanging Neck brace training device” to the show as a form of dress code resulting in this live performance becoming a Legendary event with the over 300 fans in attendance wearing one.

A cute Hedoban in the Babymetal style wherein one shakes their head from side to side. One must do preparatory stretching in advance.

An air band that constantly protects the members of Babymetal at live performances and events and sometimes puts on aggressive and wild performances with Babymetal. They perform with all of their bodies, minds and souls to create real “Soul” music backed up with Marshall amplification and drum kits set up in the twin bass specifications of a true Metal band.

 Metal name

This is a baptismal name granted granted by the divine instructions of Kitsune-sama to Su-metal, Yuimetal, Moametal and indeed all of the chosen ones. In accordance with the Apocalyptic records, one can acquire their Metal name by vowing loyalty to Kitsune-sama.

A live performance band composed of the Metal gods of the guitar Kami, the bass Kami and the drum Kami who have all been summoned by Kitsune-sama for Babymetal. The Kami first descended into their roles at the first solo live performance, “I, D, Z~Legend “I”) held at Shibuya’s O-EAST on October 6th, 2012.

 Metal Master

The refers to the great ones of the Metal world who have taught Metal to the Babymetal members. Recently, at Rock Festivals they have skillfully fulfilled this task.

 Metaru Rejisutansu
 Metal Resistance

An overarching term referring to the fate, destiny, missions as well as the revolution that have been allocated from Kitsune-sama. This aims to restore Metal to the Entertainment world and the Music world. It also refers to activities that aim to spread the movement of Babymetal that cross over all genres and national boundaries and include such activities as when Babymetal cooperated with the Metropolitan Police Department to advocate “Metal for World revision” at the time of the release of “Ijime, Dame, Zettai”. This force and momentum is even as you are reading this expanding overseas.


This refers to the Babymetal style of Mosh. Not an aggressive, wild Mosh is advised but rather a fun and enjoyable one. Additionally, the viewing area at standing-only performances is known as the “Mosh’sh Pit”

 Metal to revise (better) the world

In accordance with the message contained in Babymetal’s first major single, “Ijime, Dame, Zettai”, the slogan of “Metal to revise (better) the world” was implemented. As an example of promoting this, Babymetal has appeared in the “Metropolitan Police Department’s ”.

 Slealth guise to move quietly and undetected in the world

This refers to the guises taken by Babymetal to perform activities appearing as “ordinary girls” blending quietly into daily life so they may perform their tasks of “Metal Resistance” in school activities and the Idol world. They have put forth various and many efforts in these guises since the time they were little girls, and have carried out undercover activities in the “Idol” world.
