BABYMETAL release a new music video for Elevator Girl

BABYMETAL just shared a video for the English version of “Elevator Girl” that puts a twist on their live performances.

The video shows them performing live while special effects distort the screen and add to the overall intensity of the song.

BABYMETAL tweeted that the video was in honor of their full U.S. headlining tour that kicks off next month.

The song comes from the group’s highly anticipated forthcoming album, METAL GALAXY. Along with the 14-song tracklist, the band recently revealed the five special guest collab tracks they have on the record.

Last month, BABYMETAL revealed how they would like to do a collab with Bring Me The Horizon. While that collab doesn’t appear on the new album, it still has some incredible guest-filled tracks we’re eager to check out.

The band recently announced their third LP, METAL GALAXY, slated to be released Oct. 11 via BABYMETAL RECORDS and Cooking Vinyl.

Preorders for the album can be found here.

While there’s no BMTH, the album does contain tracks featuring Tak Matsumoto from B’z, Joakim Brodén from Sabaton, Tim Henson and Scott LePage from Polyphia, Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy and rapper F.HERO.

This performance was the beginning of “Metal Resistance Chapter 8” by one of three members of “Avengers” selected by Fox’s announcement.

The ONE (fan) was caught up in a vortex of enthusiasm, combined with stage productions, new songs, and a magnificent scale from beginning to end, where the unique worldview that could be said to be their true heart was fully exhibited. The latest performance will be broadcast on WOWOW for the first time in about a year and a half, and there is no doubt that it will be a notable stage.

As the follow-up to 2016’s METAL RESISTANCE, all eyes are on the Japanese superstars to see what they come up with next. There has been no confirmed tracklisting, although we do know new track PA PA YA!! will feature on the record. The band have also been playing an as-yet-unnamed new track in their recent shows in London and at Glastonbury festival.

“It’s always fun to play new material,” vocalist Moametal tells Kerrang!. “PA PA YA!! is a song where both us and the audience get to shout, dance, and wave our flags around – it’s just overall a very fun song.

“I’m looking forward to performing it a lot more, so please make sure to learn it before you come to see us again. On the recorded version on our next album, it is done in collaboration with a Thai rapper [F. Hero].

“The album is going to be a new evolution of kawaii metal – it involves a mixture of different types of music. We’re really looking forward to releasing it!”

BABYMETAL London’s Brixton Academy 2019

Speaking about BABYMETAL’s debut performance at Glastonbury festival, Moametal says she knew in advance just how big and “special” the festival is.

“Su-Metal (vocalist) and I were discussing in the past how cool it would be to perform there one day. When we were there, I could see how many people were at the festival, and I was just amazed at how magical the experience was. I am so honoured to have been invited to go and play at the festival.”

Following the release of METAL GALAXY on October 11, BABYMETAL’s will embark on their first-ever full UK tour. Get your tickets now.
